The Dyeing & Printing Unit of PT Dan Liris achieved the milestone of becoming the first textile company in Central Java to receive a Green Industry Certificate from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenperin) on Thursday, 30th November 2023. The receipt of this certificate is based on the implementation of the Green Industry Standard which assesses and regulates sustainability and environmentally friendly business practices through the reduction of negative impact on the environment, as well as enhanced efficiency in the utilisation of resources.
By implementing the Green Industry Standard, we as a company participate in environmental conservation efforts through many aspects, such as the use of renewable energy, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, environmentally friendly waste management, water use efficiency, use of sustainable raw materials, and environmental restoration after use. Our Dyeing & Printing unit applies the concept of reuse, reduce and recycle through the use of renewable energy and recycled raw materials to minimise any negative impact on the environment.
We reuse the hot steam used in the fabric drying process through heat recovery machines to reduce energy consumption and optimise the use of the heat generated during the production process. We also make use of any leftover paste used in the printing process by grouping them together by colour type. Before being reused, the leftover paste is tested and processed together with new paste to prevent any wasting of raw materials and the generation of water pollution in the water treatment process.
Through receiving this Green Industry Certificate, we confirm our commitment to continue making a positive impact on the environment by conducting business responsibly and upholding high standards in sustainability.
