Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, PT Dan Liris launched an innovative Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program aimed at transforming cotton dust waste from the spinning process into a valuable resource for the local community.
Repurposing Waste for Agricultural Support
This initiative focuses on reducing cotton dust waste while directly supporting agricultural activities in the surrounding area. From May 2023 to January 2024, PT Dan Liris collected and distributed 4,890 kilograms of cotton dust, free of charge, to the Ngudi Roso Klaten mushroom farmer group. The cotton dust serves as an effective growing medium for mushrooms, providing a sustainable boost to their farming activities.
Commitment to Sustainability and Community Welfare
By turning industrial waste into agricultural resources, PT Dan Liris has created a model for balancing environmental sustainability with community empowerment. The program underscores the company’s dedication to reducing its environmental footprint while fostering economic growth and self-sufficiency among local farmers.
PT Dan Liris remains steadfast in its mission to contribute to environmental preservation and the well-being of the communities it serves, striving to make a positive impact through innovative and meaningful initiatives.
