Sustainability Practices
Sustainability is a core pillar of PT Dan Liris’ commitment to responsible business practices, environmental stewardship, and sustainable production processes. This principle underpins our operational management, innovation efforts, and decision-making across all business units.
In product development, Danliris has implemented sustainable materials that have undergone internal testing and development processes, including: Lyocell®, Hemp, Linen, and Cupro. These materials are selected for their resource efficiency, environmentally responsible characteristics, and alignment with Danliris’ quality standards.
We consistently work to reduce and utilise production waste, optimise resource efficiency, and implement environmentally friendly materials, renewable energy, and efficient production techniques. One such initiative is the utilisation of textile waste as a raw material supply for handicraft production at PT Multiyasa Abadi Sentosa, part of the Danliris Group, as an application of circular economy principles.
Our commitment to sustainability is also reflected through the annual DISC Day programme, where all units participate by presenting tangible initiatives. One such sustainability initiative includes the utilisation of plastic bottles, styrofoam, and nylon waste from production residues for road improvement within the Danliris operational area.
In addition, within the Spinning Unit, cotton dust generated from the fibre separation process—reaching approximately 830 kg per month—is utilised and distributed as planting media. From May 2023 to January 2024, a total of 4,890 kg of cotton dust was utilised by the Ngudi Roso Klaten straw mushroom farmers’ group, with the practice continuing through 2024.
Danliris’ commitment to sustainability is further demonstrated through national recognition. In 2023, the Dyeing & Printing Unit of PT Dan Liris became the first textile company in Central Java to receive the Green Industry Certificate from the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia, based on the implementation of efficient, environmentally friendly, and sustainable production practices.
In 2024, Danliris was honoured with the Green Industry Award 2024 at the Annual Indonesia Green Industry Summit (AIGIS) and was recognised as the Best Industrial Company in Efficiency Efforts.
Through these initiatives, Danliris remains committed to delivering positive and sustainable impacts for the environment, society, and the industry.
